About me
I've worked in many venues, from a capacity of 150 seats at amateur theatres to an opera house with 1500 seats: this particular production had a month-long, fully sold out run. I have experience being stage crew for 5 years, particularly helping with doing get-ins and get-outs. I’ve also been on stage management teams, and have experience being a runner for events. This means that I have great people skills and that I’m good at communication. From a technological point of view, I have also done lighting design, and have operated lights and sound. I’ve acquired the knowledge from years of experience to be able to lead a team towards a successful show. I learn technology very quickly, which helps when faced with new equipment, such as lighting desks or deputy stage management desks, as it means I can focus on the work at hand from the get-go. An example of this is when I was lighting designer for my first big dance show, I had to learn how to use the lighting desk on the tech day, which I managed to successfully do quite quickly because I’m a quick learner and have acquired sharp listening skills over the years.Skills
