About me
Milo Miles' professional debut at 10 was in the specially extended role of Fritz with The Alberta Ballet Company's premiere of 'The Nutcracker'. A graduate of the prestigious National Ballet School of Canada, Milo Miles had his formal training with Betty Oliphant C.C., O. Ont, LL.D, Olga Evreinoff, Sergiu Stefanschi, and Glenn Gilmour. Oliphant studied under Tamara Karsavina who was trained by Enrico Cecchetti.At the age of 16 he danced in the film 'Pierrot Lumiere', for acclaimed modern choreographer Robert Desrosiers. At 18 he appeared as Ambrose in 'Hello Dolly' with Canada's Theatre Under The Stars. Milo Miles then worked on the films Wrongfully Accused and Intersection, appeared on the television series The Marshal and in Hollywood Nights 17 & 18 for Fairchild Television.
After starting his professional career, Milo returned to hone training with Dolores Kirkwood in British Columbia, Canada. As a guest artist he has been performing and teaching for The Royal City Youth Ballet Company ever since.
Milo Miles worked as Choreographer and Primary Assistant from 1997 to 1999 for F.I.S.M. champion magician Juliana Chen; performing in Germany, Hong Kong, Thailand, Canada and the USA. Then 10 days after moving to the UK he became Slave Master in 'The Phantom of the Opera' UK tour, removed .
Milo Miles has worked with The English Character Dance Company, Oslo Danse Ensemble, Goh Ballet, Vancouver Dance Theatre, the L'Oreal Professional Corporation, Creative Sunshine Productions, Shine On' dance company, Kaboom, Royal Caribbean International and Crystal Cruise Lines.
In 2001 Milo Miles began to create a new Dance Syllabus combining Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Latin. His syllabus, 'Miloteque' then used by The Urdang Academy (London) has led to him teaching Master Classes in the USA, Canada, Sweden, Italy, Sicily and also for 'Dance 2XS' in London and Prague.
Milo Miles collaborated with film producer/choreographer Rolfe Klement, and DOP Geoff Boyle on the 2003 short film 'Dance Untitled'. He worked with Peter Darling as a dancer and waltz/pas de deux advisor for the 'Masquerade' sequence in the 'Phantom of the Opera' film and was assistant choreographer to Lynn Page for the world premiere in 2004.
He also appeared in a series of Kiss Radio television spots at the time.
From removed Milo Miles joined ITV's 'This Morning' as their in house choreographer. In 2006 his company Milo Miles Productions co-created the show 'Guys as Dolls' and he worked as a dancer for director Ian Poitier on his premiere feature film 'Oh Happy Day'. Milo was also part of the original cast for 'Peter and the Wolf' in London, working with American choreographer Doug Elkins and was ballet master for Tavaziva Dance from removed .
In 2007 Milo Miles choreographed the TV Pilot 'An Evening with Pamella' for Film 24, Sky TV, he appeared as a competitor on BBC 2's 'Let Me Entertain You' and worked on the feature film 'Brideshead Revisited'. Milo Miles then joined the original 2007 and 2008 cast workshop productions of Colin Charles' 'Hell Sing the Musical' as a Soloist Dancer and again on the 2009 version of the musical at Londons' Bloomsbury Theatre dancing for Mark Battershall.
In London he works for Pineapple Dance Studios, Danceworks, The London School of Dramatic Art, Artis Education, Simply Dancing Partners and guest teaches for Disney's 'Lion King' Company
Milo Miles has worked with Mia Michaels, Chris Huggins, Wayne McKnight, Anna Wyman, and Norman Legett. He has danced, sung, choreographed and designed costumes, sets, make-up and lighting for a variety of productions worldwide. Coached Figure Skaters, Actors, Models, Drag Queens, Burlesque Artists an all Male Exotic review and even a Football team!
Milo is now developing Milo Miles Entertainment, which produces The Red Ribbon Revue a yearly World AIDS Day Benefit and The Milo Miles Dance Theatre, his company 'formerly' Pangaea Dance.
