About me
I am a versatile, hardworking and experienced technician who consistently meets challenging deadlines and targets. Effectively works as a self-motivated individual or as an active team member. Remains calm and focused in a pressured environment possessing a methodical and logical approach to problem solving.Since my 4 years at University studying sound I have gained over 2 years of experience doing sound and lighting for shows at “Warner’s Leisure Hotels, Thomson Holiday Cruises & Malvern Theatres”. During my time at a Warner’s Leisure Hotels & Thomson Cruises I have done sound & lighting for acts such as “Ray Lewis” “Lesley Garret” “Katy Setterfield”, “Acker Bilk” and “Roy G Hemming’s”. I also dealt with many different bands from 3-5 piece bands to 12 piece orchestras.
Throughout my several contracts I have worked alongside many Entertainment Directors and Production Mangers to assist in the scheduling and re-scheduling of rehearsals to perfect technical aspects pre-production and to continue up holding high standards during production
During my time at Malvern Theatres I regularly worked alongside other technicians during fit ups and get outs. Communication was always essential to ensure everything went smoothly and that all jobs were completed to the highest possible standard. I have on a regular basis rigged and focused and programed lights for tribute acts such “Motown”, “Diamond Decades”, Gee Bees and much more. As well as focusing lights for rock shows I have also worked on dance shows such as “Dance Wales”, “Richard Alston” and “Phoenix Dance”.
At Malvern Theatres they also show live broadcast from the “Royal Opera House” and “National Theatre” which requires me to operate and setup a digital projector plus the sound. I have also worked on many lectures and talks where I set up and basic lighting state and microphone.
Throughout my year and Malvern and previous contracts I always made sure that I worked in a safe environment making sure co-workers and audience members were never in a situation to trip over cables on or off the stage. On a regular basis maintenance was carried out on all equipment from sound/lighting and backstage areas.
