  About me

  I am an enthusiastic and methodical team worker who is very eager to work independently, or with others. I have previous work experience within theatrical and show environments and enjoy working within performance venues. I relish a challenge and learning additional skills to apply to existing or any new roles that I may be required to perform. I work to the highest standards meeting requirements of the company and do my best to represent them in a positive light.

  Since the age of fourteen I have been involved in theatre work both performing and gaining an array of backstage skills. I have performed in respected theatres such as the iconic Grand Theatre Blackpool and Lowther Pavilion Lytham, taking on roles in popular musicals such as West Side Story and Billy Elliot and Les Misérables.

  I have previous experience as a stagehand and have aided the process of many youth productions, including the staging of props and scenery and also being responsible for the health and safety of the young performers ranging from the age ten to eighteen. I have work experience in the Blackpool Opera House; again as a stagehand where I had to assist professional shows to ensure they were suitable for mass public viewing and consumption. I have had the privilege to work with stars such as Cannon & Ball and the tribute band; Abba Mania.

  My longest employment in the industry was at Blackpool Pleasure Beach Ice Arena where I worked as a Spotlight Operator and Stage Hand on the Hot Ice Show and Kyran Bracken’s Ice Party, along with additional stars such as Karen Barber, Daniel Whiston, Clare Buckfield and Brianne Delacourt. I had to adhere to strict company safety regulations and learn how to correctly and independently work professional lighting equipment and am qualified to work at heights.

  Most recently I have worked On 2 Pantomimes, one in Motherwell Scotland, and the other in my own home town of Blackpool. For the Pantomime up in Scotland i was the LX Operator of the show working on a Congo Lighting Desk, while on the Pantomime in Blackpool I was the Assistant Stage manager where i was in charge of he stage and keeping the props in good shape.

  I have also worked on cruise ships in the theatre industry as well where I have traveled to many countries and worked with many other nationalities. I believe I am a dependable member of staff and that through my personal and professional skills can be an asset to any working team.
