Stage electrics, including dry ice operation, show gel changes, focusing and pre-show checks.

Set Building & Resistant Materials
Knowledge and professional experience in set building & props making using wood and metal work.
Used machinery within a workshop including carving tools, lathe, Band Saw, Table Saw, Disk Sander, Drop Saw, Pedestal Drill, Tig Welding and Soldering. As well as a Polystyrene Thermocutter, and various other hand tools.
Ground plan drafting using Auto Cad and Sketch up as well as professional hand drafting experience.
Experienced in model making at scale 1:25 and 1:50.
Knowledge of various painting techniques and scene painting.

Tanya has 12 years professional experience in the theatre industry and during this time she has worked on a varied of productions from, from small scale academic/, touring with children’s theatre for Birmingham Stage Company’s Horrible histories, to large scale touring with Birmingham Royal Ballet and visiting musicals such as Lion King and Wicked.
She has recently obtained agency work in schools between theatre contracts in order broadened her knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of academic environments so she is able to establish a supportive relationship with not only students and fellow teachers. All with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a positive impact on the progress of student’s as well as their independence and self-esteem.
Fundamentally she is committed to good practice and innovation as well as flexible and enjoys being a team player. She has always engaged in continuous learning and more than happy to attend a variety of courses in order to broaden her knowledge and experience.
