TV Show directory - The Young Ones
The Young Ones was a BBC sitcom from the early 1980s which featured four undergraduate students sharing a house: delightful punk Vyvyan (Adrian Edmondson), Rik Mayall look-a-like and would-be anarchist Rick (Rik Mayall), hippie Neil (Nigel Planer), and the suave and diminutive Mike (Christopher Ryan). It also featured Alexei Sayle, who played various members of the Balowski family—most often Jerzei Balowski, the quartet's landlord—and occasional independent characters, such as the train driver in "Bambi". The show was one of the first shows to introduce alternative comedy to British television sets in history.
