About me
I trained at RADA after which I played leading roles at some of the country’s best known theatres including Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Bristol Old Vic, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, Sheffield Crucible Theatre and others.I left the profession after nine years to form my own company and established myself as a trainer, coach and keynote speaker, before returning to acting in 2019 to play Richard, Duke of Gloucester in Shakespeare’s ’Richard lll’ at the South West’s leading open-air festival on Brownsea Island.
In the summer of 2021 I appeared in two productions at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival and followed this in 2022 playing King Lear in an eight-venue touring production.
I also work as a voice actor and have my own professional studio. I have recorded several audio books which can be heard on Audible.
Clients have said of my work:
“Thank you so much. The pace, voice inflection, tone, are everything I was looking for. Quite superb!”
Adam Cotton, Author, ‘No Demon of Darkness’
“Wonderful work. Truly impressive”
A P Bateman, Author, ‘Unforgotten’
“Thanks for the awesome work!”
Ken Fry, Author, ‘Red Ground’
“You did a great job. Your voice and your reading have elevated this novel, I am very grateful.”
Sepehr Haddad, Author, ‘A Hundred Sweet Promises’ (Winner of the American Historical Fiction Award 2022)
“I am amazed that you've completed it so far ahead of schedule! That is wonderful - thank you!! I really enjoyed your narration – I love it!”
Christina Croft, Author, ‘Murderesses in Victorian Britain’
“We engaged Tim to write and record a major e-learning product for us aimed at the property investment market – ‘The Cash Flow Generator’.
He produced, from pages and pages of information, an exceptional piece of work that led our students easily through the maze of technical and legislative data.
Added to that many of our students have remarked on how easy he is to listen to and how much they have enjoyed his commentary.
We couldn’t be more delighted.”
Dan Pattrick, CEO, The Dapatchi Group
“I had the opportunity of working with Tim on a play I wrote for radio called ‘Revolutionary Sounds’. He proved to be very professional, reliable and adaptable to the recording situations that had to be done from distance. He was also very fast to respond to our changing requirements and provided extremely polished recordings. I highly recommend him.”
Laura Orduz Bastidas, author of ‘Revolutionary Sounds’.
"Tim is great to work with. He has great energy in the room and takes direction quickly and easily. He is reliable and professional in correspondence, fun to have in the room – and of course he has a great voice."
Wendy Bevan-Mogg
Programme Leader – MA Producing Film and Television, Bournemouth University
“Tim played characters in a couple of my audio dramas and was a delight to work with. His reading of the parts was spot-on and he provided the recordings I needed first time, both times. He is a great actor and has a good recording set-up. I wouldn't hesitate to work with him again.”
Lewis Bradley
Station Coordinator, Bournemouth Internet Radio Station
“Tim collated, narrated and recorded our leading online course, ‘Full Diary Formula’, a marketing programme for therapists.
He is highly professional, has a great delivery style and delivered the pogramme exactly according to our requirements and on time. Our students love it and so do we!”
