Short description of my voice
Warm, powerful and authoritive. Mitch is one of the most recognisable voices in the UK. Used on radio sweepers and idents worldwide, BBC TV and BBC America, the Voice of Live 8, The Brits and Miss World.
Recent TV commercials include AmEx, Ford and Disney. Can do a hard read for sports or impact or a sexy mellow read for late night radio and movie trailers.
Mitch Johnson works in London as a voice-over, presenter and producer.
After training as a sound engineer at John Wood Studios in London Mitch went on to present a daily show on London’s Capital Radio.
Since then he’s written and presented shows for The World Service, BFBS, MTV, Sky 1 and was one of the founding DJ’s on Virgin Radio.
Mitch worked on BBC1 for many years voicing such shows as Live & Kicking, Train to Win, The Lottery, Record Breakers, Children in Need, Comic Relief, Star for a Night, Ant & Dec’s Friends Like These and Tonight’s the Night.
He's currently the voice of numerous radio stations in the UK and around the world including Heart, Real, Smooth, Wave and Radio 1. And recently voiced TV campaigns for Elton John, The Eagles and Rod Stewart.
