About me
I have been described by the Trinidad and Tobago Performing Arts Network as an 'undeniable talent' who is 'one hundred percent committed to and passionate about musical theatre and the performing arts'.I have trained and studied performance my entire life. At the age of ten, I was involved in the (TT) Ministry of Education's 'Character Education and Citizenry Development Programme'. This awarded me opportunities to perform for multiple government officials, including the Prime Minister and President, and initially exposed me to television sets and camera work.
I created a children’s entertainment business at 14, performing at birthday parties, ceremonies and for charity events. After moving to London in 2018, I continued working as a party entertainer at ‘Studio 74’.
I have always grasped every opportunity offered to me enthusiastically. For ten years I successfully participated in the (TT) ‘National Music Festival’ in solo, duet, trio and choral categories. This participation taught me commitment and dedication due to the intense rehearsal schedules. This membership in award winning choirs refined my harmony skills and ensemble work. Additionally, I have performed principal roles in numerous productions, including 'The Music Man', 'In the Heights', '21 Chump Street' and the national production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'.
Artistically, I have worked behind the scenes, creating set, costume and prop pieces for productions of 'Aida', 'Once on the Island' and multiple pantomimes. A mural I composed in 2016, that explored the sustainable development goal 'gender equality', was featured in an exhibition at the United Nations Information Centre for the Caribbean Area (UNIC).
Working in Decibel Expo's 'Zombie Island' attraction and most recently Merlin Entertainment’s ‘The London Dungeon’, has greatly developed my improvisational skills and solidifying my love for immersive theatre. While at the Dungeon I was a member of a team of 20 actors, cooperating to provide outstanding and consistent performances for every guest. Due to the nature and popularity of the attraction, 12 different characters were learnt and performed in rotation, entertaining over 1,000 visitors daily.
I have now moved from London to New York and am excited to continue my journey toward a fulfilling career within this industry.
