About me

I was born with mild Cerebral Palsy - a condition that affects my nervous system. However, it has only manifested itself in a very slight limp on my right side. Throughout my childhood I swam recreationally in order to aid my disability. At the age of 7 my competitive drive kicked in and by the age of 12 I was swimming competitively at National Level. I believe this physical activity has reduced the impact my disability has had on my physical appearance.
I am an attractive young actor musician with extremely dark features giving me an intense, striking look. Also, due to my soft personality I find compassionate, caring characters comfortable to embody, therefore making me a versatile actor and enabling me to convey a variety of complex characters.
As an actor musician I have been involved in several projects that involved telling the story as an actor as well as creating live music on several different instruments. These instruments include; trumpet, tenor horn (both which I am extremely proficient) and guitar. Also throughout my degree and several projects I gained skills in musical composition and arranging.
One of our major projects in our final year included an arrangement of Bizet's Carmen. During this project I was able to showcase my highly skilled singing technique. Beginning my vocal training with a classical foundation and ending it from an acting point of view I have an extremely great balance of tone and connection to text.
After graduating, I was involved in a short theatre project - Out of Focus - a project designed to showcase actors with disabilities. This project was documented throughout the process and is in the early stages of editing and being sent to producers around the UK. From this production I was fortunate to meet the following people; Alison Walsh (Head of Diversity, Channel 4), Amanda Rice (Head of Diversity, BBC) and also received work with the Channel 4 and BBC;

* Channel 4 - Corporate Training - used as several mock athletes being interviewed within the Paralympics. - Training for new presenters.
* BBC - The Conference - A short film directed by Justin Edgar.
