"Zaff Malik (1st June) - A thorough professional, very relaxed and a pleasure to work with. Added bonus with him being so local to us, I'll be recommending him to the rest of our team, and I'd certainly work with him again."
From: Tai Campbell (Director) Webvideos
"Zaff is a dedicated, hardworking and talented actor who was easy to direct for our film shoot ‘Inland'.
Zaff was one of strongest actors on the three day shoot. He understood the character and added his own spin creating a three dimensional person. The project was made difficult by two factors:
1) Zaff was playing someone who already exists in real life
2) a lot of subtle, natural acting was required in the film and Zaff met these challenges and nailed it, making my job that much easier.
Zaff's punctual, takes direction well and Zaff will work with the creative team to interpret the character he plays in order to bring a vision to life"
From: Jonathan Hawes (Director) Eagleye Pictures
"Zaff was an immensely skillful 1st AD for my short film "Forbidden Fruit". He effortlessly assisted with lens changes for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera and the operation of the Glidecam stabiliser, whilst simultaneously pitching innovative creative ideas.
He also helped identify various logistical concerns, which was extremely helpful in allowing me to concentrate on my role as the filmmaker. In addition to this, his positive nature and wicked sense of humour also lifted the spirits of cast/crew alike on set (including myself), ensuring a pleasant, focused work atmosphere.
I cannot recommend Zaff more highly for your next project."
From: Oliver Smyth (Director)
"Zaff Malik was nothing short of one of the greatest pleasures I've had working with anyone. As an actor he is patient and understanding of everything you tell him and everything he needs to do and he easily picks it up to get everything you need in a few takes. He arrived on set in a timely manner, was even a little early as we were still setting up. And although it was a long and tedious shoot, his positivity carried through the cast and crew, something that can make the difference on a whole project. A great actor, and great person to work with. 10 out of 10 would hire again."
