About me

Ayana Reece is an award-winning writer/producer with a passion for storytelling, thinking outside the box, and creating compelling content that inspires and entertains. For over a decade, she’s written and produced awards shows, talk/variety, and documentaries for a number of platforms including NBC, Nickelodeon, BET, and Billboard. Some of her credits include the Kids’ Choice Awards, 106 & Park, and the Emmy Award winning talk show Steve Harvey.

Her career journey started after graduating from Howard University’s School of Communications with her first job as a production assistant. Ayana’s path to the present was not linear, and allowed her to gain experience in television, film, and digital content creation working in various departments and learning every aspect of production. Since then she has worked her way up through the ranks and established herself as a highly sought-after writer/producer working with industry leaders and icons like Oprah Winfrey, Ryan Seacrest, Wanda Sykes, and Nick Cannon.

As a natural leader, she has guided many teams through the creative process, while managing logistics, budgets, and deadlines. With strong creative instincts and interpersonal skills as well as wealth of knowledge and experience in the entertainment field, Ayana continues to learn, grow, and aspire to become one of the industry’s gatekeepers. In doing so, she hopes to create space for more diverse voices in the creative landscape.

When she’s not creating content, she is consuming it; staying current on the latest trends. She enjoys binge watching comedy, drama, and the occasional conspiracy theory documentary, however, she’s most fulfilled when she’s being challenged professionally and bringing vision to life. Her mantra and mission is “making the impossible practical” and at her core, she is a dreamer who applies this to every single moment of her life.
