About me
I am a self-published author, screenwriter and independent filmmaker from Cleveland, Ohio and based in Los Angeles. I earned my B.A. in Journalism and Promotional Communication form in 2014 and my M.A. in English in 2019, both from Cleveland State. I first discovered my love of writing at the age of 13 when he took home first prize at the 2005 "Power of the Pen" competition for my district.I have published two novellas (A Summer in Harlem, Camp ’67) two short collections of poetry (If I Wrote A Hip-Hop Album, When the Crows Come Home) as well as an one act play (…A-Minor). I have also written several features appearing in Cleveland publications the Call & Post and Volume Magazine Cleveland. In 2018 I started my own creative content company OPAL. Under OPAL I produced a no budget Indie film (You Gotta Be Woke, 2018), short form documentary (Under the Tent, 2018) and a staged reading of selections from A Summer In Harlem (A Trip Up North 2017).
