About me

My name is Jonathan and I'm a Video Editor/Media Manager located in New York City. I studied video editing at the School of Visual Arts where I honed my skills in production and post production workflows. Video editing has always been a passion of mine since first using Windows Movie Maker when I was ten years old. Now I use the Adobe Creative Suite - Adobe Premiere Pro, Media Encoder and After Effects. I am also familiar with Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer. In addition, I have a technical background that enables me to have a better understanding of codecs, compression, bit-rate and how they relate to video quality.

After college, I began working for Saturday Night Live as an on-set Media Manager. While filming on location, I handled the camera reloads and data delivery from set to the Post Production facilities back at 30 Rock. Since then, we've migrated to a hybrid in-office/remote workflow.

I've also done freelance video editing work for Andre Reichmann Photography. There I performed post-production work, including assembling raw material, editing sound and sequences, and providing the final product within time and budget constraints. In addition, I created long form edits of various engagements and celebrations for clients.

Currently I work for BlackRock as a Media Manager. I handle on set footage archival and distribution to the editors for Post Production. I also assist with captioning and final link delivery.
