A once Florida resident who now resides in Brooklyn, NY, Wesley draws his inspiration (and creative energy) from the city itself. He cites New York as “the place where everything is happening” and the buzz of life in the Big Apple informs Wesley’s work on a daily basis. Although hair by Wesley finds its roots in the 90s, his self-taught background contributes to his ability to represent his love for New York’s nightlife scene, the epicenter of style and all things now.

So with a budding personality and readiness to translate the vision of any client, it’s only fitting that Wesley’s résumé boasts a texturized portfolio of high-profile work. He credits his time assisting renowned artists such as Paul Hanlon, Guido, and Recine to his career climaxes with Ryan McGinley, Chloë Sevigny, Sebastian Faena, i-D magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Vogue just to name a few.

Wesley has parlayed his talents into an array of hair-themed endeavors such as penning advice columns for various newspapers and magazines, TV appearances, a personal Tumblr that makes for easy access to the hair maven, and rebranding, where Wesley acts as an image consultant for major brands who are looking to shift into a younger, more downtown demographic.

In just a short span of time, Wesley O’Meara has reshaped his career from backstage pro to on-set star stylist. O'Meara continues to hold his title of l’enfant terrible of the industry, but when it comes to hair, Wesley proves his fearless approach to the craft is anything but child’s play
