About me
I have been fascinated with the post-production process ever since I was introduced to basic editing software in high school. My background is based in music, and as a part of that, I was introduced to ProTools 7 while "interning" at a DIY recording studio as a teenager. While studying at NYU, my interest in music production and composition for film ultimately led to the exciting exposure of sound design and the world of post-production sound. Since graduating, my career has been focused in post-production sound from recording foley and voiceovers to mixing and creating fully-filled M&E tracks, and ultimately to sound FX editing for network television.Despite my predominately sound background when it comes to the professional level, I have always been deeply rooted in a collaborative environment. I have been responsible for not only the scheduling and coordinating of foley artist and loop group records, but also maintained the collaborative responsibilities of deliveries and coordination with all departments of a large post-production house. I take much pride in my knowledge of the technical aspects of collaborating with video editors, color correctionists, and visual FX artists and the necessary understanding of those crafts to work in efficient and effective matter. I have made a point to absorb as much information about other departments as I possibly can in my professional experiences--video encoding, DCP creation, project file types, and time evaluation of such creative processes--so that I may consider myself a valuable asset to the larger post-production workflow.
I aspire to be a post-production supervisor in film and have much admiration for those who have made a name in that world such as Marty Cohen. I consider myself a constant student of film and continuously immerse myself with the work of those pinnacle artists of our industry.
