About me
Thank you for taking the time to check everything out. Here is a little bit about how I became a cinematographer. check. it. out.In 2004, I graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia with a Bachelor's in Film and Media Arts. Since I was born and raised in Philly, Temple was the best choice for film education that was close by. The school really prepared me and helped me start thinking like a filmmaker. They pushed me and helped me start to understand my craft. After graduation, I moved to Los Angeles for an internship program. Long story short, I immediately started working on set in the lighting and grip departments. This is where I really learned how lighting and on set production worked. For about 5 years I worked consistently on feature films, TV shows and everything in between. In my free time I was chasing my passion of cinematography, shooting whatever came my way, pay or not. In 2012, I was lucky enough to shoot My first Feature entitled Key, Directed by Rob Hamilton. This feature garnered My first award at the 2012 International World Music and film Festival for Best Cinematography. That in return Led me to my 2nd Feature which was Marfa GIrl directed by the infamous Larry Clark. Marfa Girl went on to win the Golden Marc’Aurelio for Best Film at the Rome International Film Festival in 2013 and garner a cult classic following from people all over the world.
Since Marfa Girl I went on to shoot:
-Sabyn Mayfield's Boomtown in 2015, which went on to win Best Cinematography at the 2017 Nashville Film Festival.
-Rob Hamilton's second film, The Suffering, which is now streaming on Amazon prime and the trailer has over 4 million views.
-Adam Sherman's She's Just a Shadow, my first multi million dollar film that is due out in 1st quarter 2018. Shot in tokyo, Japan.
-Larry Clark's 2nd installment in the Marfa Series, Marfa Girl 2. Due out in early 2018.
-Leo Foti's In Vino, which hits the festival circuit in October 2017.
- I have 4 feature films ready to come out in 2019! (She's just a a Shadow, Alone, Verotik, In Vino.)
I've also been shooting commercials and corporate/industrial videos for such clients as Pepsi, Vice ID, Sesame Street Live, Itchy WorldWide, Target etc. So yea, I've done a little bit of everything and always looking for more. I enjoy the collaboration process and the constant learning that cinematography gives me the chance to experience. It really is amazing that I get to do what I love for a living and always able to push myself and learn something new.
Well, If you would like to work together, please don't hesitate to give me a call, email, etc. I am always looking for new rad people to work with or we can even just talk about movies and technique. Thanks for checking out my work!
