About me
The summer before my senior year of college, I was a dual intern at a boutique agency in their account management department, while also serving as the production intern at the in-house agency. I sat in on client calls, sorted through film, and even flew down South with the team to shoot a new broadcast TV spot for NASCAR. By the end of my time there, my responsibilities in my two roles had morphed into one, leaving me knowing that I loved video content and the creative process, but not being too sure what the difference was between account management and production. After securing a job at Ogilvy in account management and working for a client with a heavy production budget, I realized that Production aligned with my interests and passions more. A combination of things I am drawn towards, video production takes the element of visuals and mixes in the importance of well-timed audio in order to make an effective piece of content that reaches audiences across the board. With the focus on enhancing the creative rather than managing and building the “client book”, production is exactly what I am looking to pivot towards.
While I started my career path on the client-facing side, I know that this initial title will help my trajectory as I transition to a role in production. Having exposure to content from the inception of the idea to the execution and post-production of that footage, all while still balancing the needs of a stakeholder, puts me in the perfect position to be a high-quality producer. Not only do I appreciate the value of developing great creative, but I also understand the importance of sticking to a schedule, balancing several projects at once, and making sure all parties involved are happy with the final project.
