As a filmmaker, Melody C. Miller works to make films that have a positive impact in the world. She has directed and lensed films for Samsung, Sony Pictures, HBO, Amazon Prime, Starz, InterLangua, and FACT TV, among others, and two award-winning feature documentaries called "California's Forgotten Children" and "ruth weiss, the beat goddess." Those films have screened at the United States Senate, United State of Women Summit, Human Rights Watch, hundreds of Human Rights and Environmental Rights organizations, and over 50 film festivals across the planet.
Having twelve years of experience working as a freelance cinematographer, she has shot hundreds documentaries, narratives, music videos, and PSAs. She graduated from UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, concentrating on Cinematography and Documetary.
Melody has won various film awards nationwide including The Motion Picture Association of America Award, Women in Film Award, and the Loreen Arbus Cinematography Award.
Internationally she has shot and produced films in China, the United Kingdom, and all across the United States. Melody works as an independent contractor, but also runs her own company.
