About me
Shaun studied television broadcasting at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, Canada and in his second year acquired a placement on the Tom Green Show in Ottawa. After graduating, he found employment rigging props for S&S Productions in Hamilton, Ontario. He submitted short comedy sketches to the producer/star, Steve Smith, which led to his three years writing for The Red Green Show, the last two as a head writer. Each year with the show he was nominated for a Gemini award in the category of Best Writing in a Comedy or Variety Program or Series. Shaun has written for the adult puppet show Apollo’s Pad and the animated children’s shows Will and Dewitt, Willa’s Wild Life and Mia and Me. He has produced a collection of single panel comics and sold two of his panels to King Features. His short script Heartbreak Pills was produced by Eyetip Films and his short script Conversion of the Atheist was chosen for production in 2014 by the Hollywood director Rob Margolies. His short film Must Escape played at Cannes in May 2016. Shaun polished a feature film screenplay based on the television show Mia and Me. He lives with his wife, nine year old daughter and six year old son in Caledon East, Ontario.Skills
