About me
I grew up obsessed with movies and was inspired to study film by my idol, Nora Ephron. I ended up graduating with honors from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies and Journalism. Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, my passion for all things film and photography-related has driven me to work on various projects in both documentary and narrative mediums. The idea for 'Starting Again', a documentary short I directed and edited, was presented at the 2016 RiverRun International Film Festival’s Pitch Fest. The film was officially selected to be screened at the All-American High School Film Festival in New York City, New York later that year.
Upon graduation, I have had the opportunity to continue working on film projects, including my first narrative feature, 'The Rack Pack', in which I worked as a Production Assistant. I also participated in the 2016 Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project, as Director and Assistant Editor of 'Who Lived on Time Avenue', and the 2019 Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project as Assistant Director and Script Supervisor of 'The Job'.
My proudest accomplishment to date is having been part of the post-production phase of a documentary feature, 'Jewish American Soldiers: Stories from WWII'. Since its official premiere in Charlotte, it has aired on PBS stations nationwide, become available for rental and purchase on Amazon Prime Video, been selected to screen at the 9th Charlotte Film Festival, and been included for historical preservation in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. It also received an Emmy nomination in the Musical Composition/ Arrangement category.
I previously worked as a Production Assistant at Full Scale Productions in Charlotte and am now looking for producing or production coordinating opportunities in the film industry, specifically within the documentary field. I continue to play an active role in the Charlotte cultural arts scene. Apart from serving as Programming Director for the Charlotte Film Festival, I am also an Advisory Council Member for the Carolina Film Community, an usher for Blumenthal Performing Arts, and a volunteer for the Charlotte Film Society.
