Blossoms of Faith

2015, 33 minutes

Twenty-three days before her wedding, Betsy McLean loses her sister to a stroke. The bride-to-be must take a journey of faith before she can walk down the aisle.

As her first husband died unexpectedly, Betsy is excited to wed again. Days before the ceremony, she receives a devastating phone call and learns her sister, and best friend, Maria, has suffered a stroke. The family decides to end life support because there is no hope for recovery. She stays by her sister's side as Maria's soul continues its journey. Betsy is angry with God and doubts her faith. After Maria's burial, Betsy feels utter despair and wonders if it's even worth it to marry again - to love someone only to lose them. It takes a young Hodgin's Lymphoma patient to teach Betsy that God is there, sharing our pain, and that we are never alone. Her faith is restored and she celebrates with gratitude - for the love of her children and her new husband to be.
