A young poet searches for meaning in the city

The story revolves around Guy, living in a city where the entirety of the film takes place. He is searching for something in the city, looking for a way out of his current life, into a more freeing and exciting world. As he looks for this he meets a girl, Rebecca, sat by the water. She is pulled by contradictory urges. In one sense she feels that she should go along with the people around her and stick to the set path. But there is a stronger part of her that is pulled towards breaking free of the environment around her.
