Shaken by a tragedy close to home, Jessie suffers from a constant worry that his heart will stop. To ease his anxiety, Jessie takes a stethoscope with him everywhere he goes. As Jessie explores, he becomes less concerned with his own heartbeat and more so with the heartbeats of everything around him. What follows is a series of increasingly strange events seen through the eyes of a troubled child.
