Time Is The Longest Distance

2016, 15 minutes

A bittersweet tale of an estranged son's journey to reconnect with his Alzheimer's-stricken father, and the teenage boy he meets along the way.

Inspired by my own father's battle with Alzheimer’s, the heart of the film is a simple, universal theme - a child’s longing for his parent’s approval. While touching on currently relevant issues of Alzheimer’s and same-sex marriage, the film also demonstrates the randomness of life and how chance encounters can have life altering results. This 15 minute short is my thesis film for my MFA at City College of New York. We are currently in preproduction with shoot dates tentatively scheduled for early October. The film will premiere at CItyvisions film fest at the DGA Theatre in May 2016.
