Michael Shurtleff's Book

Gene Costa

I was corrected by Anne that I accidently misspelled Michael Shurtleff's name in the previous post. I have since finished the book and found it very helpful even for the so called seasoned actor. This book is not about the mechanics of acting, but it is about how to strengthen your audition. For example, one of the many concepts that he brings to the reader is the power of opposites. This concept will bring a powerful performance onto the stage or screen. There are many more such concepts. A must read for all actors.

I have used his book for both training as well as educating young actors who are prepping for their first audition. Thanks for sharing.
