Audacity's new terms and conditions regarding data

Hello,
I'm not sure whom this will affect, and I myself do not use audacity, but I've just seen an article about the new terms and conditions regarding data. In a nutshell, Audacity is claiming the rights to all data that is input and edited. All data. There are claiming it has to do with data protection and safety.

I don't know if this means that they own the rights to your intellectual property, but I suggest everyone who is using Audicity either switch DAWs or start checking into what Audacity owns and what it doesn't I suggest reading the new terms and conditions rather than just clicking accept.

Here is an article that discusses the ramifications, but it is by no means the only one.
