I finally took the plunge into the world of "premium" but my question is, with it being so cheap compared to other sites, is this worth it?

Hi David, I hate to dampen your enthusiasm but Mandy has really taken a dive as far as being a place to seek auditions. If you look at a few other forum threads and you'll see many others reporting their dissatisfaction with Mandy. Enuf said. I wish you luck and success.

FWIW, Mandy's sibling platform Backstage has many more audition possibilities. Oddly, however, in contrast to Mandy, Backstage doesn't indicate whether an application has been viewed by the job poster; this may or may not be important to you. In any case, good luck.

It's a waste, apparently. I did a bunch of research before signing up, and things seemed OK; but now that I'm here I see that there is very little VO work. I mean, they could (if they wanted) have a staffer at least harvest decent paid VO gigs from casting agents tweets on Twitter, etc to make up for the lack of presence here, but it appears Mandy is essentially lacking and fraudulent in representing themselves as a VO resource. Mandy support refused to refund my $ a day after I signed up, logged into the forums, and saw the grievances here. Too bad - live and learn. At least I only paid half normal price, ($60 ish) so there's a chance I will recoup. But it seems basically like a shady enterprise at this point, unless they allow us VOs to access either Backatage and/or crew job listings as well to make up for the dearth of VO jobs.

Maybe we can at least form a Facebook Group called: D.U.M. (Disappointed Users of Mandy), and share leads and jobs among ourselves off platform?

Backstage seems to have a lot of male roles. And there IS a list of agents and casting directors under the resources, whom you can market to directly.

My second go at premium membership here reminds me why I didn't renew last time. 16 days in, and I've received seven audition opportunities: Five of them wanted a language I don't speak, one wanted a specific race other than mine, and one reasonably fit my profile. This does not bode well.

I am so disappointed to hear this. I just signed up for premium. It was only 50$ but now I feel like i've wasted my money. I'm praying that the jobs pick up on here. But only 1 job for the last week popped up. Hopefully something comes through!
