Seeking a Morning Show Host for a local radio station in Des Moines, IA. Responsibilities:Performs news, talk, and comedic content for broadcast information and entertainment.Creates tone and style of format and establishes relationship with listeners by providing information and entertainment of interest consistent with a news/talk format and the targeted demographic audience.Interviews guests, moderates debates, converses with callers, and hosts live events.Serves as primary voice and directs support staff of show.Discusses and prepares program content with co-host, producer and other staff members where applicable.Generates original ideas, stories, creates characters, plays dramatic or comedic role, and prepares original content for live or pre-recorded programs.Researches and gains knowledge of subject matter that facilitates speaking extemporaneously and providing immediate non-scripted analysis/commentary.Identifies technical equipment and resource requirements for recording interviews and other audio material.Finalizes content using digital audio editing software.Prepares written content, visual images, audio material and video footage for websites, blogs, or other social media platforms.
