The Gallerist (Short Film)A visual artist/painter Lara is visited in her apartment/studio by her former girlfriend Antoinette. From the ensuing conversation it’s not made clear as to what happened between them. Lara is trying to hold on to the way they were together. Lara’s studio is filled with paintings of a mystery woman, the memories are all that Lara has left. Antoinette is cool and seductive, the opposite to Laura’s deep emotionality. They talk, drink wine, put on a record and slow dance, lips gently touching, fingers interlacing. Suddenly, the door buzzer goes off and Lara slowly walks to open the door, parting ways from Antoinette, their arms extending until fingertips barely touch. Lara opens the door to reveal Anwar, an acquaintance of hers. Lara and Anwar walk out together leaving behind an empty apartment. Antoinette was a projection of Lara’s memories.
