Job briefWe are shooting an independent feature film this spring 2021 and are looking for an experienced 2nd AC (Assistant Cameraman).This is a 1970's period piece set and shot in NYC and the right candidate will need to be based in NYC (or surrounding commutable cities such as Philadelphia and New Jersey). This is not a digital project as we will be working with super 16 film. Rate is $200.00 per day.Job Description:May perform other duties on set location, such as marking stage floor with chalk to designate actors' and actresses' positions, clapping hinged boards together to designate start of scene, and recording scene number and related information on slate to identify scene.RequirementsMust have an extensive knowledge of all camera equipment, film stocks and processing techniquesSuper 16 film knowledge is requiredMust have thorough understanding of how to manage and maintain all camera department paperwork and administration.Knowledge of the requirements of the relevant health and safety legislation and proceduresDiplomacy and sensitivity when working with artists and crewAbility to collaborate and to work as part of a team; physical stamina and strength requiredMust be fluent English; ability to speak French is a plusExcellent organizational skills, agility and speed and effective communication skillsAptitude in problem-solving
