From fantastic realms to new adventures, the Director, Facilities & Exhibition will keep the maintenance and improvements for the Denver site running safe and smooth all year round. You will lead the team that maintains facilities & technical assets within the entire complex, develops and manages departmental and CAPEX budgets, performs preventative maintenance programs, plus works with outside vendors, contractors and artists. This includes all aspects of the visitor experience, including physical, technical, show lighting, A/V and show control. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure the visitors’ aesthetic experience is consistent and adheres to Meow Wolf’s high standards. Pre-opening you will partner with project, design, and operations teams in developing all assets and associated maintenance programs to ensure work is done according to Meow Wolf quality standards while reducing total cost of ownership. Post-opening you will partner with the same teams on enhancements and new projects to ensure quality and optimize use of capital. Ideal candidates will have great communication skills, familiarity working with building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), construction, as well as an interest in immersive artwork.
