Never boring.Our website is looking for an Associate Producer I to contribute to and support the creative development and production of video features, specials and films. This role is specifically tasked with staying abreast of, and appropriately using, technology and social media to drive content and creativity.Responsibilities:Contributes to the creative development and is responsible for the production of video elements.Oversees the production of assigned video elements including teases, original features, analysis clips, specialty elements, and featuresProduces long-form and short-form feature stories and profiles, from concept to completion for air.Generates, researches and pitches content/story ideas; determines the content, writing, editing style and storyline/narrative of features; arranges for talent, graphics, animation, equipment and crews; identifies storylines for narrative; writes script; oversees feature "shoots"; oversees editing to achieve the desired story arc and high-end production.Coordinates with editors to ensure deadlines are met and elements meet the requirements and vision as directedHelps develop and integrate the use of interactive social media including Facebook, Youtube, Twitter to drive show contentIntegrates the use of visual elements into assignments to drive show contentGathers news, facts and video for assigned productions; researches and prepares story ideas for future productionsPlans and directs the work of freelance production personnel and freelance technicians during feature story productions. Ability to shoot/edit and knowledge of innovations in technology with cameras and edit is a plus.Conducts research in the video archives to obtain material for assigned teases, original features, analysis clips, specialty elementsParticipates in idea generation during show meetings for assigned teases, original features, analysis clips, and specialty elementsContributes creative concepts for feature and show elements, as well as concepts for non- linear TV platforms.Contributes ideas to generate content and demonstrates ability to complete from concept to executionCollaborates with editors in the production of high end video elements in AVID Adobe Premiere and QEP edit facilities.May produce ENG field shoots including but not limited to interviews, basic art direction, specialty shootsMay produce assigned segments with guests or analysts in studio showsValues the VTL and digital archive systems and proactively works to ensure important material is preserved in these systems.Provides direction and feedback to Production Assistant and Content Associates on assigned showsEmbraces and seeks knowledge of digital/social media and technological advances in field and post production.Work is subject to close and regular scrutiny by Producers and Coordinating Producers at regular intervals and milestonesContributes creative concepts to aspects of assigned remote production elements, including teases, and storylinesParticipates in developing features and storylines for parts of EOE projects.Recommendations are subject to close scrutiny and are evaluated primarily by reference to the defined objectives and intended outcomes of assigned EOE projects.Supports ensuring that the concepts and content of assigned teases, sales features, promotions, roll-outs and special animation elements comply with the established policy and concepts of assigned EOE programming projects.Applies basic analytical skills to support the development of aspects of assigned EOE programming projectsMay research and assemble semi-routine information for Senior Producer(s) / Producers(s)As directed, participates in conducting analyses and research of assigned teases, sales features, promotions, roll-outs and special animation elements for assigned EOE programming projectsAssembles and may support the interpretation of semi-routine informationSupports negotiations for resources, within prescribed budgets, for assigned EOE programming projectsThrough personal time management, organization and planning, contributes to the processing efficiencies of assigned tasks
