We meet the audience where it is with the programs it wants.Our News Network is looking for an experienced Photojournalists. The ideal candidate is open to extensive travel to various courtrooms across the country, working closely with field producers, in shooting trials and taking viewers outside the four walls of the courtroom, by shooting b-roll and conducting interviews. In addition to rigorous travel, Photojournalists will be required to take ownership in the maintenance and technical aspects of their work, from the operation of audio equipment and stationary/robotic cameras, to running ENG, mobile studio, and live shots. The Photojournalists position involves the following:Varying schedule due to, breaking news and/or daily news coverage requirementsProviding 24x7, 365 days per year, on-call support. May entail phone or physical presence at the facility for equipment failure or other disasters. This includes, but is not limited to equipment and power failures, loss of contracted services, and schedule conflictsParticipation in an established on-call rotationOvertime may be required to meet deadlinesResponsibilitiesSetup, breakdown, and operate television broadcast camera(s) and audio equipment in a courtroomResponsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to ENG Equipment, DSLR Cameras and audio mixerOperate TVU remote live equipment or similar in the fieldAnalyze subject material, select equipment, lighting, angle and background; select and present subject to achieve desired effect, with attention to lighting, background composition and style; Documentary style ENG; Setup and light on-site live shotsExplore all possibilities with reporters for active live shots and standups; Light, shoot, mic intimate interviewsHave complete knowledge of how to operate the mobile studio and learn the best ways to troubleshoot mobile studio or equipment issuesMaintain assigned gear, including camera, audio mixer, lights and support gearKnowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel lawsManage personal travel expenses and the submission of expense reports efficientlyDrive company vehicle for business purposesĀ· Drive rental cars for business purposesCheck mobile studio at the beginning and end of each shift - keep vehicles in excellent conditionPerform other duties as assigned
