As a Composer, your primary responsibility will be to create original music for our platform.You should be someone with a comprehensive knowledge of musical styles and genres, broad understanding of the craft of musical composition, and strong technical ability. As a music-maker, you are creative, prolific, meticulous, and broad in scope. You have a firm grasp of the needed areas of other fields: psychoacoustics, neuroscience, and music technology. You are results-driven, wanting to see the outcome of your efforts.This position is full-time and can be done remotely.Responsibilities:Craft original audio content and own the content creation pipeline from concept to the appCurate, edit, and adapt audio content for applications outside primary Brain.fm serviceConceptualize and implement innovative new approaches to Brain.fm music production and the Brain.fm libraryResearch and implement new production toolsUpdate and manage our Music DatabaseConduct research using analytics to inform decision-making regarding our content libraryRequirements:In-depth knowledge and experience composing in Ableton LiveBroad knowledge of software instrumentsProven ability to compose in a variety of styles and genresExperience processing and editing dialog and voice-overBasic understanding of audio mastering principles and practicesDemonstrates artistic and innovative approaches to music productionFamiliarity with 3D Spatial AudioAbility to handle several tasks simultaneouslyExperience managing large databasesPluses:A degree in Music Composition, Music Technology, or Audio Engineering3+ Years of experience preferred
