We are looking for a Sound Designer to join our creative team and develop the aural experience of our app. It is crucial that every aspect of the Teams user experience be every bit as delightful, fun, and playful as possible. This applies to everything creative - from illustration or animation to sound design. So, if you like the sound of jumping on board a highly creative and gutsy brand - we want to hear from you!What will you be doing?Composing music and performing audio design, specification, implementation, and editing;Reviewing tasks for our mobile and web platforms;Designing interactive and linear sound effects;Mixing & mastering;Engaging in design collaboration for audio tools & run-time systems;Seeing audio through to implementation and release in a rapid-cadence environment.What are we looking for?An experienced composer in multiple genres of commercial music; someone who is comfortable with the latest Digital Audio Workstations and software instrument libraries — (i.e. ProTools, Logic, East West Libraries, Kontakt, etc);Experience with principals of sound design and sound effects creation, from foley recording, use of sound libraries, to sound synthesis & modeling;An understanding of working with game development environments — Unity, Wwise, Fmod audio integration software experience a significant plus — including live-ops and production-release cadences;Fluency in spreadsheets as database-repository/organization/communication/tracking tools — Excel and GoogleDocs sheets a plus;Familiarity with concepts and tools for Audio Signal Processing and repair: Izotope RX, Melodyne a plus;A working knowledge of Acoustics and 3D localization concepts, reverb, EQ, compression, mastering and noise reduction;A can-do teammate who understands the value of over-communication.What skills will come in handy?Experience at a mobile-first startup;Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as nimble creative and strategic thinking skills;BFA or higher.
