Opening for Audio Technician at the New York production of STOMP.Individual will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the performance of installed audio equipment, and ensuring that the technical and aesthetic standards of the show’s sound are regularly met.General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Keeping open lines of communication with stage managementMaintaining the audio equipmentUpdating show paperworkAssisting with off-site press events as scheduledLiaising with the creators, rehearsal director, and/or designers to ensure that the show’s aesthetic is being maintainedAttending all meetings and rehearsals as scheduledTraining substitute audio technicians when neededSpecific show responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Performing preset dutiesExecuting show cues as well as changeover and post show duties in a safe, professional and timely manner for 8 performances per week. Additional performances will be required during holiday seasons.Qualified candidates must have an extensive background and relevant expertise in sound design/audio engineering. Substantial experience in maintaining and repairing production equipment is required. Basic carpentry skills are preferred. Moreover, applicants must be safety conscious, detail-oriented, organized, and articulate; maintaining a positive, affable disposition while working is critical.This is a Full Time Position with a benefits package that includes insurance plans and paid vacation time.
