We're looking for a Sr. Business Development Manager, Publishing who will have the responsibility to identify and acquire publishing admin and sync agreements as well as advise on our direct to creator global publishing efforts.You are hungry, ambitious, and talented individuals looking to take on an exciting challenge to further develop our direct to artist publishing offering. You will be working within the A&R and Creator Services division, reporting directly to the VP of Creator Services.The Role:Handle top of funnel (priority) leads and reach outs to writers to drive new businessManage and negotiate custom publishing admin and sync agreements Work closely with our sync team to build out a holistic offeringWork with our ops team to ensure registrations are handled in an efficient and timely mannerUse a variety of methods (email, phone, social media etc) to engage prospects, users and decision makersEducate our talent/sales team on the ins and outs of publishingForm partnerships with outside companies to help acquire more customers and develop new ancillary revenue streamsTrack relationships, sales strategy, as well as KPIs within our CRMHave the autonomy to operate beyond your role and help the team continuously improve and optimize our process, training, use of technology, and any other aspects of our business.Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to reach long term scaleAbout You:5+ years experience in music publishingAn extensive knowledge of the registration process for admin collectionsStrong industry relationships with songwriters, publishers, etc.Experience setting up or being involved with songwriting campsBe friendly, enthusiastic and demonstrate empathy and thoughtfulness in your professional communication.Successful track record of contract negotiation for high profile clientsManagement experienceAn Entrepreneurial background is preferredAbout us:We’re international!
