The Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day technical operations and administration of a station. Responsible for monitoring, controlling and reporting the operability of the station’s central cast rack and transmitter operations as well as have the opportunity to work closely the broadcast team in the maintenance of the studio, transmitter, and distribution delivery equipmentWhat You Will Do:Monitor, control and report to the operability of station’s central cast rack and transmitter operationsMonitor and report station outagesWork with team in daily operation of studio, transmitter, and distribution deliveryTroubleshoot television transmitter and facility issuesMaintain systems responsible for supporting the on-air operation, such as HVAC, networking, electrical, and mechanicalPartner with legal and corporate in the maintenance of the station public file in accordance with FCC requirements. Track and confirm FCC online station files24/7 on-call availability to ensure continuous operation of the stationLiaise with all cable, DBS, and Telco operators within marketOperate, log and maintain EAS tests and equipmentProactively engage with necessary third parties to resolve technical issues in an expedited manner as they arise;Carry out troubleshooting as needed or escalate to engineering support for further diagnosisMay be responsible for certain administrative duties related to business and operation transactionsAdhere to company policies and procedures including corporate guidelines and best practicesOther duties as assigned
