This position is located in a division of our Media Company. East Asia & Pacific Division, Indonesian Service. The incumbent serves as a Senior Editor for the Indonesian Service.ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:Selects, writes, and approves program material for radio, TV and/or internet for appropriateness of content, balance, and targeted area interest.Edits completed radio and TV scripts and/or material for Service Web site to ensure accuracy of tone, balance, and policy conformance.Plans and directs the development of radio, TV and/or Internet programming and program packages in the Indonesian language by analyzing political, cultural and economic trends in order to meet US objectives and present a cohesive, listenable or watchable broadcast to the people of Indonesia.Keeps staff and Chief informed on political, cultural and economic developments that may contribute to the quality of the airshows.Prepares performance evaluation of Service staffers.Maintains contacts with targeted area specialists, discussing issues and ideas pertinent to radio and TV program development and materials for Internet posting.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
