Seeking an experienced, dynamic and inspiring Creative Director to formulate design concepts and presentation approaches, provide vision and grow a suite of digital products. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes design, and understands how to make TheGrio’s brand stand on its own and shine in the marketplace. This Creative Director is the lead designer and brand and visual conscience for TheGrio. Partners across editorial, marketing, and product to further the brand and content for TheGrio. This position includes how the brand is applied across platforms, creating the look and feel for editorial packages and content, creating daily or weekly content for series, specials or other tentpole events. Works closely with UX/Product design and may also contribute to other content creation as the business needs. Will interface with the TWG VIZrt live graphics team for keyable and live graphics design.TheGrio’s Creative Director is our lead designer, directing artwork, layout, and UI design for print and digital media. They will also manage a graphics designer, interface with a live graphics team for keyable and live graphics design. The ideal candidate understands the digital news space and is particularly passionate about African American issues and culture.They are a team player with a track record of success and an outstanding portfolio.
