Work with the show’s hosts to produce a topical, informative, and compelling daily national morning radio show. Producer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of show production including show planning, guest booking, research, and running of a live radio show.Duties and Responsibilities:Work with show’s hosts to assemble show topics, guests and news stories for each day’s show.Provide show notes and research for each guest, topic and news story for hosts to reference.Give positive and constructive feedback to hosts in real time and during regular team meetings.Book a variety of guests for the show, including; government officials, members of congress, experts, authors, organizers, and other relevant guests.Identify newsworthy and captivating show content and edit audio to create on-air promos and audiograms for the PR team and for use on social media.Identify and edit audio clips in pre-production for on-air use during the show.Monitor and post engaging show related content on the show and channel’s social media.Run the in-studio or remote audio board as required. Problem solve technical issues and report problems in real time with our broadcast operations team.Work in a fast-paced, live environment with active deadlines. Ensure listener phone calls are screened during the show.Keep detailed logs of show’s records and audio archives.Work with ancillary groups and teams to support the show, including sales, marketing, PR, podcasting and others.Perform other duties as required.Supervisory Responsibilities:None.
