    Health Sciences Academic Services & Facilities has an outstanding opportunity for a Photographer 2 to perform a variety of photographic tasks using digital photography; provide custom printing and basic design services for printing and poster production.Under general direction, perform a variety of technical photographic tasks such as photomicrography and color printing or that require using advanced digital camera skills and on-camera flash techniques, studio strobe lighting systems, including preparation of digital images for publication in print or on a website by various software and hardware tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat DC, Onyx Production House, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and performing post production and color management of digital images.Coordinate the daily operations of the poster copy center and photo studio. Schedule and coordinate location photography. Develop shot lists, schedule and direct models. Receive, prioritize and process work orders; resolve production conflicts; maintain production and sales records; maintain inventories, assess and recommend capital purchases, design standard processes, prepare materials for billings and perform routine equipment maintenance. Regularly assign, instruct and check the work of others, including student and/or hourly employees in a fast-paced production environment.Duties and Responsibilities• Take still pictures of various subjects, including but not limited to; staff, facility, students, patients, art work, books, archival specimens and clinical and surgical procedures in clinics or operating rooms;• Plan, organize and prepare photographic materials for public relations and visual aid programs;• Take photographs in studio and on location using appropriate lighting techniques and equipment;• Assist clients with planning projects, designing and troubleshooting layouts;• Use advanced features of Adobe Photoshop and other digital image editing and workflow software, as well as the full suite of Microsoft Office applications;• Use image capturing devices such as flatbed and film scanners;• Schedule photo shoots and meet logistical needs of various parties;• Work with client to produce media that meet their specific needs;• Manage and coordinate all facets of digital and physical media production;• May participate as instructor for in-service educational programs, as well as train employees in all aspects of the print center and studio operations;• Receive and evaluate work orders to establish and assign job priorities; work with clients, staff and administrators to determine production needs, meet production requirements and deadlines;• Assist clients with digital technology including file transfers, printing from disk, etc.;• Maintain work records, prepare reports, and maintain sales and billing records;• Operate poster and certificate related computer programs with on-line forms and databases;• Operate wide format printers and related equipment; check performance of equipment and perform regular diagnostic and maintenance tasks; schedule maintenance and service calls as required;• Understand and enforce University copyright procedures;• Order supplies and maintain inventory;• Operate small certificate equipment and other peripherals;• Provide outstanding customer service;• Perform duties and solve problems with minimal supervision;• May perform duties of Photographer 1 and Poster Shop Coordinator 2;• Perform related duties as required.
