THIS IS BOTH A NON-UNION SHORT FILM SHOOT AND A LIVE STAGE SHOW.Storyline: A modern day interpretation of the Christmas Nativity Scene.Talent will be improvising a current day adaptation of the Nativity Scene. Please keep in mind, this will be for a children's production, so improv style must be clean, with no foul language.The non-union short film portion of the video will be IMPROV only, and will only take about 2-3 hours.The second part, will also be improv, but will be a short section of a LIVE STAGE production of the children's Christmas show for The Abundant Living Family Church, in Rancho Cucamonga; a mega church with a state of the art stage containing 10,000 seats. The stage portion will be in the evening of December 15th.This will be directed by Corey Harrell who has sold scripts to New Line Cinema / Warner Bros and LIONSGATE / SONY. He currently has a film in post-production with UNIVERSAL / WILL PACKER PRODUCTIONS called ORACLE - scheduled for release this coming year. He wrote, directed, and edited a short film called FROM WHERE THE OPERA SINGS - which PREMIERED at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL.PLOT: The story is about two guys (Bob & Zane) trying to put together a Nativity scene for their church's Christmas production. They set out to recruit people they believe will help them create the ultimate Nativity scene: Mary (Asian girl from a Nail Salon), Jose (Mexican dude from Home Depot), The Three Wisemen (Three old Black dudes in a barbershop). This will be a multicultural, diverse re-interpretation of the manger scene. Through this journey, Bob & Zane discover the true meaning of Christmas. SIDE NOTE: The recruiting of the characters are SHOT ON CAMERA (Nov 30th).After recruiting Mary, Jose and The Three Brothas, Bob & Zane bring them to the LIVE STAGE CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION... which will be in front of an audience. The recruits will be placed in the manger along with the props Bob & Zane collected. Mary, Jose and The Three Brothas will stay in the manger for the duration of the show (25 mins)
