Our News Station is seeking an Associate Producer with an interest in learning as well as having hands on experience crafting elements for news and public affairs programs. You must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment, juggling multiple responsibilities, and operating under tight deadlines. Effective October 1, 2021, all newly hired CMG employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their start date. CMG will provide reasonable accommodations as required by law for individuals unable to be vaccinated due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.Responsibilities:An associate producer must be skilled in crafting broadcast ready scripts that are accurate and conversational including lead-ins, vo's, and packagesThe ideal candidate must be able to produce and research news segmentsResponsible for all aspects of booking interviews with newsmakers, experts, and other guests.Applicants must be plugged into the news and be willing to generate story ideas.The ideal candidate also must be able to provide excellent customer service to affiliates and the ability to collaborate with co-workers.
