Our News Station is in search of a Producer/Photographer who consistently crafts in-depth, fast-paced, memorable newscasts and ensures good story telling through video, live shots and quick editing. The successful candidate must be able to own breaking news inside newscasts and in extended coverage. In addition, successful candidates must have an understanding of coverage on all platforms and are expected to help generate enterprise story ideas. Collaboration with others is a must for this position, and candidates should be open to feedback and have a desire to grow in their role. Candidates should have at least 3 years of producing experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:Craft relevant, energetic, important and memorable newscastsDevelop graphic for production by Design DepartmentWrite Opens, Stories, and TeasesAssign stories to anchors, writers, and editors for scripting, production and timingConsult with Director, Anchor, other Producers, and Managers on production needsWork in the Control Room during broadcast to oversee presentation and changes in formatUnderstand and effectively use all platformsMust be able to shoot packages and live shots with quick turn-around editing.Must be able to run master control.Must be able to acquire SOT’s as a one-man-band.AVID editing proficiency is requiredOther duties may be assigned
