Released from state care over anissue with his medication, he visits his older brother, a brilliant painter in imminentdanger of losing his muse. The play explores themes of neurodiversity, ecology,spirituality, art, politics, romance, and sibling relationships.ROLESPeregrine - male, late twenties: a talented but self-engrossed artist. He has exiledhimself to an island to pursue his painting, but itches to return to the city. He isobsessed with Philip K. Dick. Possibly, he has been spending too much time alone inthe woods. NOTE: Peregrine will double as Philip K. Dick (a science fiction writer fromthe 1960s and 70s).Sylvan - male, early to mid-twenties: a neurodiverse young man who believes himselfto be a lapsed monk, guided by visions to visit his brother. As his name reflects, he issensitive to nature, and is given to mystical experience. NOTE: Sylvan will double asWilliam Blake (an English poet who lived around 1800).Aveline, female, early to mid-twenties: she works for an island winery andposes for Peregrine. Their professional relationship has led Peregrine to produce anastonishing series of paintings. However, she remains confused about their personalrelationship, and is increasingly interested in her own career.Father Gregor, male, middle-aged: an eccentric monk figure who provides Sylvanwith spiritual guidance. He tends toward the outrageous. Apparently, his ancestors arefrom the highlands. NOTE: Father Gregor will double as Donald Trump (who is given atour through hell by William Blake and Philip K.
