    Master Electrician -Meadow Brook Theatre located on the Campus of Oakland University, in Rochester, Michigan is searching for a Master Electrician. MBT will be in it’s 53rd season, we fully produce 6 shows a season, remount “A Christmas Carol” and host a Children’s series. This position is covered under an IATSE contract (applicant does not need to hold an IATSE card). For more information, please visit: www.mbtheatre.com.  Requirements:-5 yrs. professional experience minimum-Knowledge of working with Vectorworks and Lightwright software, Auto-cad a plus-Light Board Programming - Current console: Strand VL64-Knowledge in DMX distribution, LED and moving lights-Fixing existing cables/instruments -Ability to work with in house and out-of-town designers-Managing skills-Experience with Pyrotechnics-Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures-Able to lift at least 80lbs-Able to work at heights of 25’-Clean driving record- Strong verbal and written communication skills.-Multitasking skills -Highly motivated -Good attitude and work ethic.-Sense of humor Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): -Attending all production meetings and all other meetings designated by the Production Manager-Attending, as needed, rehearsals of the production-Proper hanging, focusing and cueing of lights for each production-Managing light department, light calls (hang and focus), light maintenance calls (once a season)-Wiring all light specials (fans, sconces, lamps, etc.)-All notes given during technical rehearsals-Maintaining a full proper inventory of all lighting equipment and tools-Maintain a safe work environment, following all safety procedures and guidelines as outlined by the    Production Manager and Technical Director -Developing pre-season budgets and maintaining record of all expenditures -Run shows-Maintaining all lighting areas and keeping them organized and clean-Some cleaning Please send your cover letter, resume, 3 recommendations and any examples of your previous work. Union Info: See description Health Benefits: Yes Salary: $651.77 per week
