We are looking for a Video Technician with computer networking experience for Station House Opera's latest digital performance project, At Home in Gaza and London. This will be presented in London and Liverpool in June and July, with technical preparation and rehearsals beforehand. The contract is for a total of eight weeks (ITC/Equity pay) spread over the period March - July. The dates are as follows:March 26-29April 30-25 MayJune 18-1 JulyJuly 9-14 TBCThis is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team who have been developing techniques for bringing the two cities and its artists and audiences together by using simple technologies in innovative ways. The main duties involve leading on all technical aspects of setting-up a live AV connection with our team in Gaza, such as audio & video input, output, and network streaming. It will also include hardware setup, programming in Isadora, troubleshooting software and hardware issues.Essentials:●      Good computer knowledge: installing software and drivers, comfortable tweaking code●      Networking knowledge: IP configuration and VPN setup.●      An understanding of Isadora●      Familiar with Mac and Windows operating systems.●      Basic projection and camera knowledge (aspect ratios, white balancing, and recording formats)●      Troubleshooting and resourcefulness●      Excellent communication skills and patiencePreferable:●      Basic sound tech experience.●      A working knowledge of Arabic is desirable but not necessary.Deadline: Noon, 1st March 2018. Interviews will be held on the 2nd March.
