Granville Homes is seeking a Video Prodction Assistant to join the newly formed News Division: GV Wire. Under direct supervision of the GV Wire this position is responsible for supporting video and photo shoots in-house and on location, managing digital assets, performing basic shooting and editing tasks, and maintaining production equipment. The Production Assistant must be familiar with working as part of a video production crew in an assistant, PA or Grip capacity. He or she should also be experienced with Adobe Creative Cloud and related software.



Essential Functions/Accountabilities:

• Operate video and still cameras in house and on location;
• Log video, transcribe recorded interviews, and ensure proper archiving for future needs;
• Assist in acquisition and organization of content and materials from various sources including in-house archives, stock libraries and other content providers;
• Perform basic editing of news, feature, and promotional content based on provided scripts;
• Retrieve assets as needed for internal and external customers; and
• Monitor production equipment in good working order, maintain inventory and keep storage location well-organized.


Competencies:

• Understanding of video lighting concepts;
• Comfortable with Windows PC environment. Ability to use/learn applications such as Word, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, etc.;
• Team-oriented with a positive, effective and collaborative work attitude. Ability to communicates clearly and professionally with internal and external contacts including political figures, business professionals, customers, and general public;
• Experience with managing social media content;
• Proficient in MS Word and office productivity tools. Willingness and aptitude to learn various computer applications as needed; and
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Work Environment:
This job operates in the field and within professional office environment. This role routinely uses a vehicle to transport between sites and video shooting locations, standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of environmental conditions while in the field.



Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, and occasionally required to stoop, and kneel as needed to setup video equipment. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time at will position, and work hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as department needs demand.



Travel
Travel is primarily local within the city of Fresno and Clovis, with the possibility of some travel to out of town communities sush as Shaver Lake (Sunrock Community) and Millerton Lake (Ventana Hills Community).

Minimum Requirements:
